Progress for a Thursday Afternoon
Nov. 21st, 2002 03:45 pmI had lunch with my friend Sam today. He's such a good egg, with tinges of madness and genius and incredibly intense creativity that leaves me feeling a bit like a simpleton. We're going through some parallel life experiences right now (relationships ending, dealing with depression - albeit in very different ways), and so we are trying to get back in touch with each other after having known each other for several years, being the semi-detached beings we were.
Every time we get together for lunch, I feel like I can see myself inching along this weird little path I've set for myself, casting aside my possessions and my beliefs, other people's beliefs, old emotions. I am checking in with Sam over salads and sandwiches, and it is truly one of the highlights of my week.
- Gas bill paid
- Electric bill paid
- Phone line set for switch to new home
- DSL set for installation two weeks after
Gotta keep moving, can't stop.
