Over the weekend:

-Primer bought
-Paint for closet bought
-Glow in the dark stars bought
-Closet ceiling wiped down and primered, painted dark blue
-Rooms swept, most junk and detritus from previous residents moved out to back porch
-Shutters taken off buffet in kitchen
-Horror expressed at egregious and disgustingly tacky use of contact paper, not only as coverage of drawers and cabinets, but used as decorative accents on the stove, the fridge, and as framing elements for pictures cut out of magazines and slapped on the wall.
-New filters bought for air purifier, said purifier lugged to new place and constantly running to get rid of gunge in the air and the musty smell which permeates every corner
-Kitchen sink scrubbed down until shiny
-Carpeting ripped up from all floors
-Horror also expressed at gross curtains and window shades, ack ack ptui

Last night:

-More stuff moved to back porch
-Rusting metal nasty towel racks unscrewed from bathroom wall
-Removal of most of aforementioned contact paper from stove, fridge, wall
-Primer applied to trim and walls in living room
-Walls washed down in closet
-One box of books brought to the new apartment, hurrah! It has officially begun!
-Cheapass tile pieces peeled up from portions of the bathroom. Horror expressed, etc.
-Sink scrubbed down again
