Growing Up
Nov. 15th, 2002 12:29 amI saw Peter Gabriel tonight.
In some ways, I feel I will never be the same again. I know by tomorrow I will feel more like my normal self, but right now, anything is possible.
We humans are funny things, you know. We bitch and moan and smell like shit, but then every now and then we clean up our act and we transcend, and music is one way of proving to the universe that we're worth something.
I cannot tell you how much it meant for me to be there tonight, the light, the sound, the joy, the spectacle, the hamster ball.
Wow.
I am awed.

Date: 2002-11-15 06:25 am (UTC)My big question is: did they play "Sky Blue"? (I *so* love that song.) And, if so, did he actually have the Five Blind Boys of Alabama backing him? And did it send shivers down your spine?
BOO he's not coming anywhere near Indy this tour. Grumble.
