Seriously, people with the album cover memes:

You're breaking friends pages. The generated code is bad. I don't really care if people cut because posts are too long or whatever, but this is another issue altogether - entire selections of posts are unviewable to me because the album cover meme is actively pushing the limits of the layout. It's not just my journal style - I've been seeing it in all sorts of other friends list styles as well.

Gah.

Firefox -> GreaseMonkey -> LJ Clean Friends

Running Firefox? Got the GreaseMonkey installed? Add this GreaseMonkey script:

LJ Clean Friends

There are quite a few other handy scripts for LiveJournal which you may also like:

But if it helps solve the problem, at this point I am willing to do it.

Agreed, but it at least does something on the side that you can control.

I switched to Firefox a few months ago. I'm much happier!

Oh, I've had Firefox for ages now. Greasemonkey, on the other hand, felt too fussy. Heh.

I don't think that particular script is working for me. There's still a whole mess of posts that are corrupted, despite hard-refreshing and everything.

Try the LJ Collapse script, somewhere in the [livejournal.com profile] lj_nifty community. If it's compatible with your layout, it will make all posts collapse down to a little [+] sign until you expand them.

The album cover thingies aren't breaking my friends' page, but I find them to be ridiculously large and annoying, so thanks for saying something.

You're aces, baby.

I don't tell people what to write, or how to write it, but the broken tables and images and terrible designs of some of these things are seriously irritating.

Hmmmm... I mean, I can understand why the giant album covers would be annoying, but unless you're running at a really weirdly low resolution it shouldn't be stretching your page.

Looking at your friends page sixty entries back I can see my album-cover post, but it doesn't seem to be the one stretching your page - this one does. The picture is enormous and should by all means be LJ-cut. (Although if you go to Manage -> Info there is an option to use placeholder images for all images over a certain size.)

"What's a repeated meme? Just an idea."

Yeah, I'm not a fan of memes either.
