Netflix: Suicide Kings (1997)

Hey, there's Nina Siemaszko! Awesome! She's so pretty. I uh, babysat her nephew once. Her brother Casey is an actor, too. They're both awesome. Oh, hey, I just realized she and I have the same freaking middle name, essentially: Jadwiga is the Polish version of Harriet. Nifty.
I was hoping for a little more something, in this movie. I think Christopher Walken did a great job of carrying a plot with his particular strange brand of finesse and poise, when the script itself desperately wanted to fall down into Wacky Hijinx shambles. The intensity and humor were played well, and there were plenty of quotable lines, but there seemed to be something missing. Not sure what, but some sort of magic, or bit of anxiety that maybe things just weren't at all what these guys thought it would be. As a character study it was fairly predictable, stable, comforting. Hey, there's Billy from Six Feet Under! Man, I love his voice. Whee, it's Elliot from E.T. He still looks the same.
Good ensemble cast. Not a lot of magic. A good coupla fistfuls of laughs. Fishboots!

I am looking for someone in Chicago to participate in a live event for an ARG. Unfortunately, it is happenning tomorrow at 2pm. This is obviously a long shot but I thought i'd try anyway, besides, your LJ seems cool and I think I'll add you to my FL. Email me if you're interested in the live event.

Date: 2006-01-15 04:53 am (UTC)No, you don't really need to know the plot, although it's still fairly fresh anyway. So far, all you need to know is that we're trying to find Jason Young, what company he works for and why he's been posting classifieds looking for Sarah Fisher (who is not missing, so why's he posting the ads?) and what's Mr. Kain's hand in all this? It'd be nice to find out what company Kain works for as well and why the company wanted to disengage from the Sarah Fisher issue. Maybe even find out Why Kain is so interested in the whole Sarah Fisher issue - or why Jack Trevor is for that matter.
ANyways... if you think you could make it, any help you could give would be more than we've got so far... and all in all it's cool to make new LJ friends no matter what.
