The Currency Exchange Blues
Mar. 22nd, 2002 07:17 amThe world is cold spitfire drafts coming in through the windows. Spring has left us for a blustery cold that should match November.
I am hoping and begging the dieties on duty that I don't get sick from yet another dramatic temperature change. I've been lucky so far, but I've also been home a lot, not really out and about as of late.
Today I have 6 rooms to mop and dust and straighten before sometime this afternoon or evening. I have a few laundry quarters left from last night's mess of laundry, which was a bunch of sixes: 6 throw pillows, 6 chair cushions, 6 pillows, and 4 blankets.
However, this morning, I see only 5 chair cushions in the dining room, and so maybe there's a cold, lonely chair cushion out there on the sidewalk where I dropped it. What the hell.
I have houseguests this weekend, and I am woefully unprepared for them.
I need more laundry quarters.
