my poor little clown car

my little blue m&m

and it wasn't even me who got the partial on the plate. it was some man that was holding a few packages of tube socks who came up to me, and I was wary of him because I was worried that if he asked me to buy socks, I might start crying and yelling at him, but instead, in broken English, he said: "plate. plate. thrrrree. zero. nine. five. plate!" and I hope I thanked him but I don't know if I did, and I repeated the number to myself and wished I had had the presence of mind to pay more attention, but I was so in shock, still am in shock.

Everything's very slow motion and floaty. I am fine, but definitely still processing things. Everything seems starkly clear and yet scattered: egg drop soup, or jellyfish tentacles.

Don't blame yourself for not noticing details. You were too busy noticing vital signs and if there was a steering wheel sticking out of your ear or something.

At least you got a nice sock angel!

Yeah, first thing I thought was: "Hey, seat belt. I love you. Hey, I am alive. Hey, all limbs are in order. Hey, no bleeding."

I took a LOT in, and I was not able to see his plate for the first few minutes because the front end of his car was still buried in mine, you know?

Unreal.

I am very thankful for the lack of krystyninjury, although I'm sorry about any distress caused to you by, um, carinjury. *ehug*

Are you trying to say, are you really attempting to convince me, that you've had THE SAME CAR this whole time???

I had a Geo I was borrowing from my friend Kerrie, and then I had the station wagon, and then I bought a Geo, in 1996. So yeah, the same car since 1996. I dunno if you ever saw that one. It's possible.

Unless you had two different blue M&Ms it must have been the same one. I'm sorry to hear it but glad that you're okay.

The Geo I had *before* the station wagon was also a blue M&M, oddly. It was a four-door. My current car is a two-door. How they fit four doors on a Geo, I'll never know.

I think when we first met, I had that rental car, and I know one of the times you came here, I had the station wagon.

I feel grateful it was not a lot worse. That I was not going faster, for instance, and he had plowed into the side of my car, rather than the front.

Oh god. I'm glad you are okay, but I'm sorry about the car. I hope they can use the partial plate to catch the bastard that did this.

*hugs*

Oh no. :(

*hugs*

Are you sure you're okay?

Do yourself a favor and if you're achy a few days from now, go and get checked out. Sometimes being shocky prevents you from noticing things, and whiplash/similar injuries can suck weeks down the road.

Anything I can do, just say the word.
