I may stick this on my queue again someday, if I ever get through the 400+ discs that are on the list now, since I was a little distracted as I was watching this movie.
I still can't really deal with Tom Hanks. He's just so Tom Hanks, no matter how skilled he is with accents and character work and having a strong showing of self-confidence.
The character names are just awesome - Marva Munson, Gawain MacSam, Weemack Funthes, Lump Hudson. Really fun. Stylized, but not too much. There's still plenty of room to get involved in the story, for all of its quirks.

Musically, too, I was awed. Especially in that one montage scene where the music segues, flawlessly, from baroque strings to gospel to hip-hop and back again.
