My Neighbor Totoro (1988)
Leetle screaming children that are very annoying until you tune out the dubbing and simply watch the animation. Mei is just about the cutest thing ever.

Date: 2005-06-21 03:06 am (UTC)Been on a *total* Miyazaki kick lately.
Castle Of Cagliostro (fifth time): still funny, awkward, action, crude like Romeo & Juliet
Laputa: SKY PIRATES! Sometimes my favorite Miyazaki of all.
Spirited Away: more beautiful every time I watch it.
Mononoke: a bit muddled but fun
Nausicaa: first time, two nights ago: I loved it. I want one of those flyers so bad I can taste it.
Kiki's Delivery Service (second time): cute, funny, much like totoro without the same sense of childlike wonder.
And yesterday afternoon, Howl's Moving Castle: unbelievably gorgeous. They're doing stuff that looks like Pixar. I cannot believe how lovely it is. The plot was very muddled and DWJ's wonderful storyline really didn't come through very well, but it was so beautiful I forgave it immediately.
