The city is green in the spots where greenery has forced its way through the pavement, and inbetween the crooked street signs, running rampant over designated areas like parks and things. There is life breathing in every right-angled streetcorner, there is music in every acceleration of car and bus, the rattle roar of train on the elevated tracks. People are wearing their heads bare, and they are rumpled and new-looking in the morning light. Flaxen corn floss and darker waves, sharp new haircuts and necks exposed to the cooler air, jackets open at the collar.

Toast with butter, coffee, booting up the computer. All routine, all plain again and unremarkable.

The answer is "because if you were standing on your desk it would not be a desk, it would be a floor."

perhaps we should call this "the bored worker's journey"

"and down in her glass cubicle, the bored worker slept in a half zombified trance"

Yeah, I did a bit of that myself this morning, both the wondering and the snoozing.

I hit the snooze, later I rolled over enough to watch the morning news untill it was about time for me to be at work, said screw it and went out to breakfast at the local diner and read Sean Stewart's Dark Rendezvous. Suppriseingly only an hour late to work. Id rather be fishing.

Good Morning?

I stop playing so that I may sit here and work so that I may earn money so that I may play again soon.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough days off saved up to go to ARGFest. When you go, give my sincere thanks to Elan for creating the game that brought us all together.

I had an amazing reaction to this post. And the clue. It has been quite a long time since I fired up wordpad.

All of our heads are still floating about chi-town with ya. Any second now, my boss will notice the headless guy typing at his computer.
