Apr. 18th, 2005 09:42 amWalking outside my front door in the mornings, I am hardly ever shocked by cold, any more. I am shocked by the absence of any serious temperature change. It's almost as if I am walking into a non-space, somewhere where the climate is so mild, it feels as if there is no climate at all. Does that make any sense?
My mouth quirked a bit into a grin when I saw that the trees were budding up. The grass has been growing all around for a while now, and in places it seems impossibly lush and green. The leaves in the trees are tiny flecks of yellow-green confetti. The air is milder than milk. There is a lot more sunshine these days. It feels good, and necessary.
I am remembering my dreams more often this past week. All last night I dreamt of Halo, and of opposing team members who spoke in English and Japanese, and chased me around the machinery in the Waterworks map for ages, before I finally dodged them all by going up when they thought perhaps I was going down, and I emerged victorious back at the base, carrying the flag. Um. So glad to know that my brain has such valuable insight to purge during sleep.
I've got a fair bit of tension in my right shoulder and right side of my neck. It's doing that thing again, where I can feel a tiny little knot, almost like a nerve that's gone all screwy and bunched itself up, right at a point where there's lots of ambient and literal stress. It's actually making me a little nauseated, at the moment, and I wonder if that's what was making me ill for a small part of this past weekend.

Date: 2005-04-18 03:15 pm (UTC)There was this game I adored on the 2600 called Mountain King, and I used to dream about it a lot, cos there was this portion of the mountain that seemed completely unattainable, like some weird glitch, but I wanted to be the cool gamer that managed to reach it. Years later, I see that even now, I'd be too late to do it.

Speaking from (*vast*) experience:
Quite possibly yes.
Neck pain is bad juju. It can screw up *everything* -- your stomach, your balance, your *vision*...
It might be time to see a chiropractor about that, if you messed it up on your trip.
