Also, when I air-dry my hair, it's positively wavy. So weird.

Heh. When I was in England my adaptor broke, and I got somewhat fried. My board-straight hair was kinky for over a year after that.

The weather in Scotland is similar to the weather in San Francisco (we don't get quite as cold). I have board straight hair any old which way.

Go to a chemist and get some moleskin.
You put moleskin on to prevent blisters, but if you already have blisters, it helps to make them less hurty.
