Mar. 24th, 2005 04:59 pmYesterday:
Lots and lots of walking. Walking zombie, me. Beautiful sunshine. Chocolate flake cold blended drinky thing at Costa. Almost bought a tin of rose petal tea, but for some reason did not get it. Walked some more, enjoyed the sunshine. Got back to the flat, hung out a little bit, headed back out again, waited on line at the Lemon Tree for the Ed Byrne show. Very, very crowded. Ed Byrne = beautiful man, and very very funny. Irish, easy-going, charming, and chatty. Slagged on Americans a bit, or at least slagged on our voting choice, heh. Crowded, sold-out show. More walking, and then back to the flat to surprise KJ, who had no idea I was coming! I had the big bag of Ladybug cookies in my lap when she arrived, and her reaction was precious and funny. Success!
Today, slept in a bit, woke with a terrible neck crick - exacerbated from yesterday's neck soreness from the long flights and sleeplessness. Went to the Bobbin, a pub just down the way, where I had a ho-hum burger and a stellar pint glass of water, and I tried to wake up and be a bit less zombie-like in Andy's company.
Weather's fairly grey and foggy again. Yesterday's sun was really just a dalliance, apparently. Seagulls like to swing about and make their seagull noises.
KJ and Bob are making spaghetti bolognaise, and we're watching episodes of Black Adder.
