Not the easiest to slice into strips for roasting, but oh.
I never knew.
From a short distance, the fresh smell coming off of them is almost like ginger. It's almost sweet, and slightly pungent, and so perfect for today.
I put a piece up to my nose and breathed in, and it was different, more vegetable than spicy root, more green than pale pale pale heat.
