Sep. 7th, 2003 02:08 pmI needed to get out of the house this morning. I decided to engage in some retail therapy, and while I didn't enjoy the shopping very much, I did make some nice purchases.
- airtight container for dry goods - probably rice or cous cous, I am thinking.
- a similarly airtight container, but smaller, for coffee.
- 4 cobalt blue drinking glasses. I used to have some, but those went with Scott when he moved out.
- Turkish delight. It was a whim, as I haven't found any in quite some time. It says 'mint' though, and I am not sure I have had mint. I am hoping it's not like the somewhat-nasty British chocolate-covered stuff I've bought in the past. I remember Jon and Tom having some at some party in the past - freshly-made and overwhelmingly delicious - you could only have a small piece at a sitting. The sweetness of it and the decadence really made me understand why Edmund gets so sick on them in the Narnia books.
- Choward's violet mints. I love these things, and always buy a few packs at a time whenever I see them.
- apple cinnamon tea lights. They were cheap. I like tea lights.
- fresh produce (lots of fruits and vegetables), including some chorizo and queso.
Now I am home, and I feel a little tired. Another week of work stretches ahead of me. Hrmph.
