Feb. 5th, 2003 11:26 amI finished reading Jennifer Government, and I have started reading The Eyre Affair. The former was alright, but clever, and the latter is clever and extremely enjoyable thus far. I have that wriggly feeling in my toes from impatience at snatching a few minutes here and there to read a few more paragraphs, a few more pages.
Many thanks to the amazing heyoka for her lovely book recommendations. Fforde's book is delicious and funny and makes the world seem like a hopeful place again, even though the world in the book is totally an alternate reality.
I feel like I look good today, which is nice. I am likely going to head outside for lunch, and hopefully perch my sunglasses on top of my head. It was sunny this morning, and let me tell you, the city looks resplendent through the strange lavender lenses - February overlaid with cinematic wash.
Skyscrapers, holding their breath for thaw.
