Went and saw TMLMTBGB tonight, dragging my two out-of-town friends with me.
It was way warm in the theatre tonight. The plays were mostly funny and mostly good and mostly fulfilling. Erin wanted to kick this one guy sitting in front of her in the head. He was one of those bozos that likes to talk back at the performers in a very predictable dumb boring way. I hadn't even realized his obnoxiousness because, well, I've been to so many TMLMTBGB shows, and there's always two or three in each audience. I just tune them out -- a special film has organically and spontaneously generated over the surface of my eyes and ears to filter out the idiots, and he was no exception.
Best moment of the night? Melinda, the booth chick, put on "Down to This," by Soul Coughing, as everyone was exiting the theatre. I bopped my fool head all the way out.
Soul Coughing is genius, you know. Genius.
Now I am tired. Way tired. I will sleep like a cozy little angel tonight, snug in my bed.
