Oct. 15th, 2004 06:41 pmOK, so like, I broke my digital camera somehow. It was showing some funky error message, and wouldn't recognize memory storage (read: floppy adaptor w/stick OR a plain old floppy), and I just thought, 'Well, time to get a new one, anyhow, since it'll cost almost as much to fix this one as a slightly better camera will cost."
So I bought a very nice Sony Cybershot, since I am not 133+ enough for SLRs or anything fancy and way-super-expensive like that. I've taken some photos, a bunch of them are crap (still getting used to the settings and all), but oh, it's a tiny leetle camera, and it has 5.1 megapixels, which is just ridiculous, but hey. New camera. Sweet.
Last night, my cat Squeaky was spazzing out a bit, like she does on chilly nights, and she knocked the old, broken camera off of a table in my office. I yelled at her, and even picked up the camera and turned it on to test it, even though it was broken, mind you, and it flickered on, found the disk still in it, and took a perfectly good picture. (!!!!!!)
Someone immediately offered me money to ship my cat to their house for their broken bed, and then I thought that perhaps I could send the cat to the White House or something ...
Now I have two working cameras. How bizarre. Thanks, Squeakers.
