Coalescence
May. 13th, 2004 06:02 pmMore rain.
The humidity is thick and warm. The apartment is dark and greengrey, except for the cheery brightness of the halogen clamp lamp and the computer monitor. I stayed home from work today, after calling off of rehearsal last night and taking my temperature with a little digital thermometer that kept reading 99.8°F, 99.4°F, 99.8° etc. A slight bounce and the cyclical aches all through my ribcage and back had me thinking 'weird flu bug.' I felt fine, but yet not so fine.
Orange, banana, vitamin, water, peanut butter on toast, more water. Nausea. Cramps. I'm fine, and yet, not so fine.
As of right now, it's pretty much shook. It helped considerably to sleep as long as I could, and then take a quick shower to cool off and wake up a little before hopping right back into my nightgown again. I have cramps of a different kind now, and so that's taking up my attention. Ugh.
Minutiae: I'm thinking of moving all of my perfume bottles to the new cabinet in the bathroom, as it'll give them a dark, cooler place to reside than the dresser right under the window in the closet. That spot sees some sun during the day, and I can almost hear the perfumes lose their quality in each pretty curvy glass bottle. It's also warm enough out now to put a lot of the spray perfumes away and get with the oils again. The essentials seem a little easier to control and tend to overwhelm less in warm weather, and I do like the greener herby scents much better this time of year, especially when the city gets a little ripe.
