I was reminded of linking to it because I was cleaning my kitchen this morning, and the heat and the sounds from outside called to mind how different people are, how they move in different climates. Abstract thoughts about what would happen if my entire apartment building lifted up and moved to the hilly neighborhood where Jon and Tom live. How badly would the building suffer with a small earthquake barely noticed by humans? Would I move differently through these rooms, would I feel the urge to rearrange furniture to suit the more consistent climate?
Bleh, weird randomness. I am home from work today, feeling a little overwhelmed and exhausted. It takes me a few days to get used to heat and summer conditions. My sleep is always wrecked for a day or two, and with a full weekend of family activities, and four nights of rehearsal last week, I feel like my personal time got squoze into nothing.
The cabinet fits perfectly on the tub ledge, but now I have to re-fasten the shower curtain rod a few inches higher. I had thought that the second rod would be the one moved, but it's fortuitous that the other one needs it because it's always seemed too low, anyway - the outside curtain always sort of pooled on the floor and kind of got in the way.
