very cute! :) but this part pissed me off:

"I protect the single girl living in the big city," says Terrifica, sporting blond Brunhild wig with a golden mask and a matching Valkyrie bra. "I do this because women are weak. They are easily manipulated, and they need to be protected from themselves and most certainly from men and their ill intentions toward them."

A lot of people at Metafilter had problems with that statement as well.

She's been doing this Terrifica thing for 7 years, and if some woman is drunk enough to be convinced to walk away from a guy by a girl wearing a stupid mask and a red leotard, she probably really didn't have any business trying to sleep with some dude at a bar, anyhow.

So for Terrifica, she's over-generalizing in an odious manner, but in her experience, all of the women she's encountering are weak. It doesn't excuse it, it just explains her statement. Well, that, and she could've been totally misquoted/partially quoted.

I just think it's hilarious that she exists at all.

That's pretty funny, and it's neat that she has the motivation to do that.
At one point she says: "People are happiest alone and living their solitary lives" (as I recall) and I'm rather nonplussed by that. I'm _miserable_ when I'm alone and living my solitary life. She has a very different sense of who she is.

man, what a cockblocker. what if i /want/ to get drunk and be taken advantage of, hmm?

if some chick in a superhero costume tried to 'protect me' a bar brawl would likely ensue. i trust the interventions of my friends, not some random do-gooder who thinks i'm too weak to make choices after a few drinks. how demeaning.
