Roman Holiday
A classic movie, you say? I'd never seen it. Sigh. This is one of those movies I put in the queue upon recommendation, and also with a tiny bit of shame.
Because really, how lovely is Audrey Hepburn? How beautiful are her clothes? How sweetly tragic the storyline? How classy and stoic and wry is Gregory Peck? How coincidentally historically relevant is the plot?
Enjoyable and silly and very very light, while managing to be very, very poignant and bittersweet. It's not a movie I will necessarily see over and over again, but I did truly like it, and I am glad I got to see it fairly uninterrupted. Hepburn's just great, and unbelievably beautiful.
