Netflix: Kicking and Screaming (2005)

Oh, God. OK, this movie was never in my queue. But Netflix belched and my queue got all goofy, and after a super-long wait, I received this Will Ferrell comedy instead of another discful of wafer-thin lesbians and the screenwriter roommates who love them.
I watched it. Why not? I like Will Ferrell!
The pacing really sucks for like, the first half of the movie. And then, Coach Mike Ditka gets into the mix, and it gets a lot better. Maybe it's just because I am a Chicagoan, and I remember the Superbowl from the '85-'86 season. I dunno. But Ditka was awesome at sending himself up, without upstaging the rest of the experience.
Floofy, cute, barely hangs together. Some very funny tiny moments too quickly over with to truly generate a guffaw, but it's not a total suckfest. I dunno. It's a soccer dad comedy. What do you expect?
