But it also means that I can send a decent chunk of change to Red Cross or something. Things have been a tiny bit tight - some leeway, but less than I like to have as buffer in the good times. Still living check to check, though. I need to start looking into savings.
Things are changing, and I might need to push myself harder to change along with them.

Oh, mojito, how I love thee. I had my first mojito ever when I was in NYC for ARGfest in July. I decided that my birthday this year would be quite refreshing with several more servings, so I passed a happy evening mashing mint leaves and sugar and lime juice together, and getting a tiny bit more generous with the Bacardi than the recipe called for. Just a tiny bit. Oh, and the ice, and oh, the perfectly fizzy club soda.
Such a nice drink. Such a nice, quiet August night.
