Apr. 7th, 2003 12:46 pmThere is a thick blanket of slush covering Chicago. It's truly bizarre - very wet stuff, but still solid-like, clogging gutters and hiding cold puddles beneath the surface.
By lunchtime, most of the sidewalks around my building were completely cleared, though, little piles of shoveled snow neatly placed curbside and at corners. The streets have all melted down to wet pavement, and the air is filled with a fine, cold mist.
I have an audition this Saturday. I am not sure yet what I am going to do for it, but a friend of mine is helping me this afternoon. She's auditioning, too. It would be the sweetest gig, I tell you. All the storytelling and writing I do, it's all here and at glitterbook, and it's similar to what I'd be doing if I got hired.
Eh, we'll see!
