Mar. 6th, 2003 11:48 pmSo tired, still! But, on the mend. I want to drink plain water again, which is a good sign, oddly. When I get sick, I am all about the fruit juices and lemonades and cold, cold teas. Now I am craving filtered cold water, in huge plastic tumblers.
wildsoda just called me, practically out of the blue. I had been sorting (huge) laundry piles and re-making the bed when she messaged me to get my number. It was good to talk to her, and a bit of a shock to realize that I hadn't actually heard her voice since she left Chicago last October.
October. What a time that was. So much change, and so much to gain, while losing, losing, losing.
I think I need to take part of my bonus money and head to NYC for a weekend, and hang out. Maybe see a show or something. Definitely stay up late and eat, I don't know, Indian food or something. It'd be a nice break from a life that is increasingly more satisfying, but still so packed and fraught with Stuff To Do and Adult Responsibilities.
Oh, and a big hurrah to the fact that this is the last night I have to pill poor Harriet with antibiotics. She hates it so, and she ends up slobbering all over the pilling hand, but she seems much more energetic now, her rear end doesn't smell like the worst smelliest thing you can imagine, and her coat seems a lot more glossy and healthy. Her eyes are brighter. One more pill. Man.
