Rain. Lots of it.

Car wouldn't start.

Trying very much not to freak out about that, today. I am hoping that because I haven't started my car since last Tuesday, that the freakish cold snap and then two days of rain = condensation on, near, or around the starter mechanism.

so, my car started when I got home

I just got into a car accident about an hour ago.

Unscathed physically, but the car is probably totaled.

The fucker who hit me drove away.

I got a partial on the plate, and not enough of anything to give the cop enough to file a report. The guy probably drove off cos he was a) an illegal and/or b) did not have insurance. I only have liability. As much as I love my clown car, it's still technically a POS, and not worth the insurance premium jack I would've suffered to make these kinds of repairs.

I am very, very shaken. I have tea. The cats are fed. I am about to take a couple Kalms tablets. I am unharmed.

All I wanted to do was celebrate my car starting was by getting some groceries. Now, I have groceries, and a hunk of plastic and Powerpuff Girl placemats that used to be a car.

my poor little clown car

my little blue m&m

and it wasn't even me who got the partial on the plate. it was some man that was holding a few packages of tube socks who came up to me, and I was wary of him because I was worried that if he asked me to buy socks, I might start crying and yelling at him, but instead, in broken English, he said: "plate. plate. thrrrree. zero. nine. five. plate!" and I hope I thanked him but I don't know if I did, and I repeated the number to myself and wished I had had the presence of mind to pay more attention, but I was so in shock, still am in shock.

Everything's very slow motion and floaty. I am fine, but definitely still processing things. Everything seems starkly clear and yet scattered: egg drop soup, or jellyfish tentacles.
