fall approaches
The morning is cold and a little lonely when the alarm goes off at 5:15 in the AM.
Blue darkness outside, the occasional car on a normally busy daytime street. The apartment seems bigger on the inside, a cavern of memories and stuff, me navigating through the doorways and cats underfoot to brush teeth, wash hair, pull clothes off hangers.
Coffee is brewed now. It's another day, and my eyes feel heavy.
